Everyone has the same question about Laser Tattoo Removal

'DOES IT HURT?'

Short answer is yes, but not as much as you think.

Then the next question is

'Can I use numbing cream?'

The answer is always YES!

Many Laser Clinics will not treat clients who have applied numbing cream as they claim the cream 'interferes' with their Laser Tattoo Removal treatment.

We call BS on that claim!

We recommend numbing cream to many of our clients, especially those with very large tattoos as well as those clients with tattoos in 'sensitive' areas.

Everybody is different. Some clients fly through their treatments with a smile while others find them uncomfortable.

If you find your Laser Tattoo Removal treatment uncomfortable, please use numbing cream. It will not affect your results at all.

Here are the steps to apply numbing cream correctly :

1. Apply numbing cream a minimum of one hour before your treatment.
   
   
2. Apply it at least 5 centimetres over the edges of the tattoo onto the surrounding skin.
   
   
3. Cover the area well with cling wrap to promote sweating allowing the numbing cream to be absorbed by the skin.
   
   
4. DO NOT remove the cling wrap or cream before arriving for your treatment as your Clinician will take care of it all.

There are many brands of numbing cream available everywhere.

We recommend NUMIT which is available from pharmacies. Compounding Pharmacies can also prepare stronger numbing creams specifically for you if you require that little bit extra.
